so, we have had a great summer. It has been challenging at times (I've been trying to stay home and do less - and for someone like me that is REALLY hard to do. seriously. one of the hardest things you could ever ask me to do would be sit still and do nothing) But we did have a great time camping last weekend! Even though Chelsea claims it was pretty awful :), it was pretty luxurious camping! The kids even got to go on a train ride

around the camp site! We did experience a thunder/lightening storm our first night and I was reminded of the pioneers - how did they do it? I tried to convince Chelsea that we should stick it out and spend the night (even though our tents were hopeless and our sleeping gear all wet) - if the pioneers could do it, we could do it! She retorted "the pioneers didn't have a choice!" We spent the night at her sister's house in Red Deer. It was so nice of her to take us all in!

The kids had so much fun at the beach - David loved playing in the mud... almost as much as walking in the water!
Doesn't he look like an old man!!

Corey was our resident photographer - isn't he amazing! Even though the Sheers won't be going camping any time soon, our children loved it and asked on the way home if we could please go "campfireing" again soon. Hopefully we'll make it a family tradition!
