best summer ever

So we threw together a last minute birthday party for poor David!  And he loved it!  What a happy easy to please guy - his best friend Alexander came along with Ozzie and his family and Grace and Mya.  It was a pirate themed party with this cake:

And a treasure hunt, dress up and water balloon "bombs!"  I'm so proud of my little big 5 yr old!  We have had such a fun summer - going boating at sylvan with Paula and Trevor and Avila, going to the super fun family reunion in Kelowna - complete with night swim!  Going to Victoria - loved the zip line and going to Barb's and bubble tea!  Had a blast in waterton like usual (including losing my sandals in the lake) - horseback riding and tubing down the river! And loved our annual camping trip with Solene and Summer!  We've also been in edmonton, Banff with Robin and had Bo come stay with us and done many day trips - like the always popular Pincher creek candy parade!  I hope my children aren't too spoiled!!

At the dentist office after the hygienist finished cleaning his teeth and told him he could go home:

I seriously debated putting this last one on here - but as per Corey's adamant recommendation:
Libby: (walking in on mom in the shower at a hotel) "Ah! Mom!  What is wrong with your um thingies? Are they rotten?  Can you give them some water like a plant and they will perk up??"

 Then we've had our usual fun at home - playing on the tramp with soap and water

going to the stampede parade - and getting our faces painted

Banff - especially seeing the tropical fish on the boardwalk hike and making bannok over a campfire

Globalfest fireworks - loved walking back to the car with Bo - wrapped in the blanket - caterpillars and superheros and weird giant headed monster

 Calaway park with Ty and Macy - still can't believe Cadie and David and I went on these twirly swings!

 Enjoying produce from our garden!  (isn't this the biggest zucchini ever!?)

BEST SUMMER EVER - so not looking forward to school starting!
